Liver Transplant Needed

Save A Life!

Our cousin Kumar, 33, living in Hyderabad India, is suffering with a very rare genetic disease called “Wilson’s Disease”.  Wilson's disease is an inherited disorder in which there is too much copper in the body's tissues. The excess copper damages the liver and slowly affects the brain and nervous system. His two elder brothers lost their lives to this same genetic disease.

In India there is no insurance coverage for a liver transplant and his family is left to come up with the amount of the transplant which costs around US $60,000 (25-30 lakh Indian rupees).  His parents are left with little money as they have spent much helping with his other two deceased brother’s medical bill

We understand that we all have our own circumstances that may or may not allow us to donate so please do not feel obligated.  This cause is very close to our hearts and that is why we have decided to try and help raise the money so that the liver transplant can take place.  If this story touches your heart and you have the means please donate!  Any amount big or small would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much, Kamal and Amber Thota
